Well... I finally did it. I spent quite a long time procrastinating, an equally long time choosing a blogging platform, and an even longer time migrating all my posts and making sure the links were up to date.
And boy am I glad it's done.
There are still a few formatting issues to work out (expect changes at some point), but overall I'm happy with Movable Type and my own hosting.
The reason I went with my own site is I can now control my post format and I don't think publishing the blog via Oracle is going to gain me any more credibility or readership than I already have. Plus I am hoping I will never have to migrate posts again!
